From Shane:
Few thoughts to remember prior to tickets going on sale:
We are a limited capacity venue. Aside from our beautiful scenery we believe intimacy is our biggest asset. We will sell less than 3,000 general admission tickets and less than 1000 of those will include camping tickets. We believe this show will sell out prior to the event. Make sure you get your tickets while you can. You will not find a show of this size, stacked with this much talent, in the USA.
The festival experience is something that we feel should be celebrated. If you have never experienced a festival this is the perfect place to do just that! The atmosphere and community of a festival is something you won't soon forget. Shawnee Cave Amphitheater has something truly special that words can't properly describe. It's a feeling or an aura, some call it magical. Its the Shawnee. The people are back, the rocks are happy!
The Shawnee National Forest is nearby and there are many hiking trails in the area. If you have plans of hiking and need help finding local landmarks or a guide just reach out and we will be happy to help. There are also several lakes in the area waiting for your next swimming, boating, kayaking or fishing adventure.
As of now we plan to do offsite parking for day guests with shuttles to the venue similar to what we did in 2021. Park and Camp will be in the same area as 2021. We will have plenty of signs identifying where to go. We will update this information as we get closer to the show
I will add to this section as different issues and questions arise.
Shawnee Cave Revival (published July 20, 2021)
WOW is all I can say! The Shawnee Cave Revival weekend is the beginning of something very special. This event will for sure be one of our marquee events in 2022. Friday started off with Magnolia Boulevard. Maggie Noelle was an absolute powerhouse and I think we will see a lot from her and this talented band in the future! The legendary Ivan Nevelle and Dumpstaphunk put it in the DUMPSTA as his followers would say. Headliner North Mississippi Allstars gave the crowd what they came for. I enjoyed watching Luther Dickinson play my sons butterscotch Fender Telecaster. Saturday started off bad as Cedric Burnside canceled due to family emergency but I knew watching Eric Gales during sound check that it was going to be a very special night. Those of you that arrived late will learn this isn't your typical venue and to show up on time. Every artist on our line up absolutely brought it. Eric Gales set the bar so High. I was told prior to the show that Eric Gales was the best guitar player alive. I said WOW that's a bold statement. His only response was "you'll see". I will be honest I had my doubts. Eric Gales erased all doubts with the absolute best performance of the night in my opinion. His set left me staring in awe for the entire time. His engagement with the crowd is something not enough musicians do. I honestly felt sorry for Vella after learning that this was her first time to play in front of a large crowd and she had to follow Eric Gales. When her father/manager told me it was her first time I looked at her and said don't worry its only my second time. I was impressed with her confidence, powerful vocals and stage presence. She too put on one heck of a show. Fans lined in to see Co-Headliner Samantha Fish and she brought the house down. Her bluesy 75 minute set finally got people on their feet. If there were any doubts that The Blind Boys of Alabama still had it after 75 years of touring those were eliminated. I was absolutely impressed with the energy they brought and the fans stuck around in the rain so it seems they were too. I look forward to growing this event every year. The Shawnee Cave Revival like all events would not be possible without our wonderful staff. So many people come together with one common goal to make these events a success. Thank You all so much! I would also like to thank each and every person who purchased a ticket, a drink or merchandise. We could not do this without you. If you experienced any issues please reach out to us asap as we want your experience to be the best. If your experience was indeed the best help us get the word out. You can help us by telling your friends, sharing our posts, like and comment of our posts as well. Lets close 2021 our strong so we can build a great 2022... Thanks for reading! Shane
